METALLED ROAD CONNECTIVITY IN THARUHAT OF WEST CHAMPARAN BIHAR

Video uploaded by Dr Ajay Kumar Ojha

This video clip "From the Eyes of Dr Ajay Kumar Ojha"shows  its viewers  that  Tharuhat of West Champaran has now been connected with good, motorable, metalled road thus making the movement in this backward & neglected area easy & smooth. The Tharu tribe of this area has long been neglected & massively exploited. When I first visited this area in 1988 there was no mode of transport except sometimes seen tonga. There were no proper bridges  nay even  bridges on the unmetalled uneven bumpy  roads . In the rainy season the area got completely cut off from the nearby towns thus making the life miserable even for day to day requirements. I had to face such situation at times during my months long stay in a tribal hut in Bakhari Bazaar for my PhD thesis so I had the personal experience of untold pain &  limitless sufferings these simple & innocent tribe had been undergoing. This video clip is focusing on Ramnagar -Gobardhana road with a bridge on it &  in the backdrop Shivalik hills & fertile green field near Indo-Nepal border.
