VIBRATING VIEW OF THE GREAT GANGA
 IN CHAUSA BUXAR BIHAR

Chausa is situated at the confluence of Karamnasa & river Ganga in Buxar district of Bihar.

Historically it is supposed to be the place of Maharshi Chyavan.

Battle of Chausa  has been fought here only between Shershah Suri & Mughal Emperor Humayun on 26th June in 1539. Sher Khan (Birth name Farid Khan) defeated Humayun and assumed the royal title of Farid al-Din Sher Shah.

Chausa is also famous for its great Cattle Fare held every Wednesday.

The archaeological and historical importance of this place is evident from a variety of antiquarian remains found in and around Chausagarh.
