A 92 year old US grandmother has become the oldest women to finish a marathon, when she crossed the finish line 26-miler San Diego Rock 'n' Roll marathon. She completed the Southern California event in seven hours,24 minutes and 36 seconds.
The previous oldest women marathon runner was another American, Gladys "Gladyator"Burrill. The oldest male marathon runner is Fauja Singh, who was 101 when he retired from racing.
The cancer survivor, concert pianist and grandmother of 10 covered the course with a combination of running & walking. Hariette has run the San Diego race for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 16 Times.
90 Year Old Stella Gillard:
90 year old daring & fearless women of Britain has proved that age or sex is no bar for an adventure or achievement. She did this surprising act of skydiving from a height of 15,000 feet.

The courageous & brave pensioner undertook the jump in memory of her daughter Kathy who died of pancreatic cancer in 2012.
Ms Gillard's feat has raised over 1,580 pounds for World Cancer Research.
