NAYANMONI BEZBARUAH AN ASSAMESE WOMEN
Nayanmoni Bezbaruah 37, a regular student of Khowang Pithubor Girls' High School scored 69.8% in arts with distinction (above 80%) in Sociology in Class XII in Assam where as his son's performance was poor with a third division to his credit. She was, however disappointed as his son could just manage to pass.

Ankur, Nayanmoni's eldest of the siblings, sells vegetables with his father to keep poverty-stricken family of six surviving.
Nayanmoni shelved her books when she was married off at a very early age. She always wanted to start from where she has left off but she could not, because poverty acted as an impediment.
The most interesting thing is that Nayanmoni used to study after letting her children sleep. She used to get up early in the morning at 4.00AM & after finishing all her work at home , cycled her way to the school located some 12 Km away from her village Dikhowkinar Changmaigaon, every day. During rainy season it became almost impossible to reach school from the village.
Nayanmoni, who is said to be studious, has proved that age & poverty cannot stand in the way of excellence. She would be a burning inspiration to those who dropped out early owing to poverty & scarcity.
