Divisive forces are bent on destroying humanity in the name of religion. They want to drive a wedge not just between Hindus and Muslims but also Sikhs. “It is the divide and rule policy started by the British that is continuing till date,” said Swami Lakshmi Shankaracharya, founder, Jan Ekta Manch.
Addressing a symposium on ‘Importance of peace and unity for solidarity of the nation’ , the Swami said peace and unity was central to all religions but the problem was people did not study their own scriptures properly. In this context, he said Islam was a religion of peace and love and had no relation whatever with terrorism.
