Peerah is a place in Ramban on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. From this place we can see the famous Baglihar Dam with Baglihar Hydroelectric Power Project also nestled in the beautiful Himalayan range situated in the southern side of Doda district of Jammu & Kashmir. Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban belt is a region where one of the best qualities of Rajmas (red kidney beans) are grown. At Peerah, a small village in Ramban , we can find few small dhabas run by a family of Sharmas. They serve only one dish "Rajma-Chawal mixed"  - red kidney beans and basmati rice cooked separately but served mixed with anardana chutney and almost a large peg of equivalent of desi ghee. Simple joints but a great taste indeed.
