Also known as Patnitop Tunnel , Chenani-Nashri Tunnel is the longest road tunnel of India situated in Jammu & Kashmir. It is 9.28 km long and the first tunnel in the country with a fully integrated tunnel control system.The tunnel reduces distance between Jammu and Srinagar by almost 31 km and travel time by two hours. This is all - weather tunnel which bypasses snowfall and avalanche prone areas in winter at places like Batote, Kud and Patnitop.
