Kud is a town in Udhampur District of Jammu & Kashmir located on Srinagar-Udhampur Highway - 100 km from Jammu and 34 km from Udhampur city. It is just 5 km from the popular tourist destination Patnitop and also near to the new and most modern Chenani-Nashri tunnel.
Kud is very famous for local sweet known as "Desi Ghee Patisa" (Soan Papdi) - another name of the sweet made of milk products. Hot and fresh Patisa is very popular among the tourists. The river Chenab flows in close proximity to Kud.
