Universalization of Raamleela
As an Ideal Character Lord Ram has been accepted even outside India. Ramleelas are present and prevalent in almost all the countries of South and Southasia. They are popular somewhere in the form of Kathputli dance and elsewhere in the form of ballet. But they are definitely the important component of culture of those countries.
Not only that. Today Ramleela is staged in most countries with immigrant Hindu population including India, Nepal and Pakistan. Outside India this includes Mauritius, Surinam, Fiji, South Africa, Canada, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Great Britain.

Sendratari Ramayana

Prambanan is a ninth century Hindu temple compound in central Java , Indonesia . The temple is dedicated to Trimurti, the expression of God as the Creator ( Brahma), the Preserver (Vishnu) and the Destroyer ( Shiva) .

The temple compound is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia and one of the biggest in Southeast Asia. In this temple, Ramleela is performed almost all over the year. This is a ballet dance based on the Story of Lord Ram in which at a time more than 200 artistes take part . Sometimes the number of artistes may increase upto 800.

The Ramayana Epic is very long to be enacted as a whole in one performance. Consequently Sendratari Ramayana is divided into four parts, each of which is called a lakon - the Abduction of Sinta, Hanuman's Mission to Alengka, the death of Kumbakarna, and the reunion of Rama and Sinta.
Phra Lak Phra Ram
"Phra Lak Phra Ram" is a national epic of Laos, a country situated between Myanmar and China. Most of its part is based on Lord Buddha but some of the gods have been taken from Hindu religion.

The meaning of second word of Phra Lak Phra Ram is Lakshman who stands everywhere by the side of Ram present in Laos in the name Lord Buddha. The story is similar to the story of Lord Ram.
"Ramleela of Fiji"
Almost half of the population of Fiji is Hindu and they have migrated from India during British period. Ramleela is performed here on a massive scale during festivals.

Due to Dutch influence Lord Ram becomes Ramatjandre whereas Sita Siyeta in Surinam. When all the artistes of Ramayan starts delivering their dialogue in Dutch and Hindi mix they create a wonderful and unique atmosphere in front of spectators. New techniques are also used in abundance and the Leela is telecast live at many places on bog LED screens. Surinam version of Ramleela is very famous in Surinam
