Mt Harriet is the third highest peak in the Andaman and Nicobar Archipelago next to Saddle Peak in North Andaman, and Mt Thullier in Great Nicobar. Mt Harriet is part of the Mt Harriet National Park established in 1969. Two km away is Kalapathar, where prisoners used to be pushed down the ravine to their death. The tribal community living in the tropical forest of the park are the Negrito people, who are hunter-gatherers. The picture on the back side of Rs 20/- note is taken from Mt Harriet National Park.
