Can't the Ruins of Naranag Shiva Temple Complex Be Restored to its An...

The Ruins of  Great Ancient Naranag Shiva Temple Complex is situated in the Ganderbal district of Jammu & Kashmir. It can be reached from Kangan on Srinagar - Leh road before the famous tourist destination Sonmarg. The linking road to Naranag valley or Wangath (Earlier known as Kanakvahini)River Valley in the backdrop of beautiful Mt Haramukh is narrow and still calls for a lot of effort for making it smooth-motorable. This complex is base camp for trekking upto Gangabal, Mt Haramukh believed to be abode of Lord Shiva & Satsar (Seven Lakes). After watching  the ruins of "Naranag Shiva Temple Complex"  one is amazed at the amazing architecture & astonished at the art of splendid temple structure in the lap of nature  believed to have been created during 2nd -3rd Century BC as claimed by the Great Kalhan, writer of 'Rajatarangini' an account of history of Kashmir. It can be developed as a popular tourist destination but there is need to thwart any attempt of unwanted encroachment around the complex.
