It may be pertinent to mention that Nagaland has been given this opportunity on virtue of being the winner of Subroto Cup International football tournament 2014.
The team is being led by two officials from Nagaland and one from Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. This is for the first time players from Nagaland would be taking part in an International event.
12 selected players underwent rigorous coaching camp, which was conducted at Greenwood Higher Secondary School Dimapur under the the guidance of state football coach Mughato Sumi. This is a golden opportunity for the young budding players from Nagaland as many did not even get a chance to represent state.
Before leaving for Korea on 5th midnight the Nagaland team had a sweet & warm briefing at Korean Cultural Centre in Delhi.
All the best to the Team!
