"Sela Pass" Arunachal Pradesh India
Sela Pass is a high altitude mountain pass situated on the border between Tawang and West Kameng districts of Arunachal Pradesh and . It has at an elevation of around 13,700 ft and connects Tibetan Buddhist town of Tawang to Dirang town of Arunachal and with the rest of India. It supports scarce amount of vegetation.
Sela Pass is a sacred site in Tibetan Buddhism. Buddhists believe that there are about 101 sacred lakes in and around the Pass.
An all-weather transport tunnel known as "Sela Tunnel' is to be constructed with the funding of Government of India.
