Insuknawr - An Indigenous Game Declared as Mizo National Game

This video clip "From the Eyes of Dr Ajay Kumar Ojha" captures  one of the Indigenous Games of Mizoram India  Insuknawr in action. This is also called Rod-pushing or Stick-fighting. Insuknawr has been declared as Mizo National Game by the Mizoram State Sports Council (MSSC). It is a test of sheer strength & stamina. The game is played within a circle and the only instrument used is a rounded wooden rod or pole. The aim of the game is to push the opponent out of the circle within three to five rounds.
