Zoji La Opens A New Epoch Not Only for J & K but for India

Zoji La is a high mountain pass in Jammu & Kashmir India. It is the second highest pass after Fotu La on the Srinagar - Leh National Highway. It takes 3.5 hours to cross Zoji La which is often closed during winter.

The Zoji La tunnel project was approved by the Government of India in January 2018. The commencement of its construction was inaugurated by the Prime minister on 19th May 2018.

The tunnel will connect Ladakh with Srinagar and the rest of India through 365 days all weather tunnel. Travel time will be reduced to 15 minutes from 3.5 hours to cross Zoji La. The investment of Rs 6809 Crore will also create new opportunities and employment for the local people.

Zoji La opens a new era for India. The tunnel on Zoji La will be the longest 14.2 km bi-directional road of Asia.
