27th February Death Anniversary of Chandra Shekhar Azad - Mentor of Bhagat Singh

27th February Death Anniversary of Chandra Shekhar Azad - Mentor of Bhagat Singh

We have become so selfish & self-centred and leaving our value system behind, forgetting the people who sacrificed their lives for the Independence of the country. Today the soul of Chandra Shekhar Azad must be writhing in pain to see the degeneration taking place in our present generations. Azad, hardy anyone be knowing, has been the guru of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

Chandra Shekhar Azad shot himself dead with his last bullet on 27th February 1931 in Alfred Park Allahabad but did not surrender himself to the British.

It is very shameful  & unfortunate, and it seems  that even one or the other revolutionary has  been monopolized by one group or another. Even media also do not take sufficient cognizance or notice to the revolutionary who has no support of a powerful group. Chandra Shekhar Azad, one of the most prominent revolutionary of freedom struggle has perhaps lost his face & identity also  and dissolved into another. It is the beginning of the end of  our  value system & education system.

Revolutionaries are revolutionaries of the country and they do not belong to any caste, community, region or state as they fought for the Independence of the country and even some of them  sacrificed their lives. Now  it is high time that such revolutionaries should again  become part of the syllabus, they earlier used to be, and should be highlighted in media alongwith social media at least on their birth and death anniversary.

No statue be erected of any political leader in their lifetime and their contribution & sacrifice  for the country be  properly assessed.

Born on 23rd July Chandra Shekhar Azad was a born firebrand revolutionary. His role was very crucial in inspiring the others  of his generation  to participate in national movement for freedom. Being deeply troubled by Jalianwalabagah massacre in Amritsar in 1919, Azad jumped into revolutionary activities merely at the age of 15.

Let us come together and create an environment of patriotism and nationalism in the country. Let us remember the ideals and sacrifices of the great revolutionaries such as Chandra Shekhar Azad.
