 Consistent Growth in Agriculture Boosts Economic Resilience: PHD Chamber 

The agriculture sector has emerged as one of the most supportive sectors to the growth of India’s economy and is boosting economic resilience. In recent years the agriculture sector has shown a consistent growth rate of more than 3% from 2019-20 to 2022-23. The decadal growth rates of the agriculture sector revealed that the recent decade from 2011 to 2021 was the most fruitful decade for the agriculture sector as the sector grew at 3.8% (average). The sector grew repeatedly at new highs during the last 4 years, found the report by the PHD Chamber. 

 

"India’s growth trajectory has undergone fundamental alterations marked by the Grow More Food Campaign of the 1950s to the Green Revolution of the mid-1960s, to the current advancements in biotechnology", said Mr. Saket Dalmia, President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

 

The Green Revolution, 1967 -1978, added significantly to the growth of India’s agriculture sector despite being marked by fluctuations. The notable development is that the growth rate from 2011 to 2021 is even higher than the rate during the Green Revolution, as mentioned by the report.

This progress was attributed to the successful implementation of various government policies, like Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), E-NAM, Micro Irrigation Fund (MIF), technological advancements, infrastructure development, knowledge sharing, policy support, and climate resilience strategies, said Mr. Dalmia.

Since the introduction of Agri Export Policy (AEP) in 2018 by the Government, India's agriculture export has performed well, even throughout the pandemic, given the farmer-centric approach and the promotion of export-oriented production through the encouragement of infrastructure and logistics, said the industry body PHDCCI. 

 

During the fiscal year 2022-23, India's agricultural exports surpassed US $50 billion. The export values increased significantly from 5.27 billion USD in 2000-01 to an astonishing 50.36 billion USD by the end of the FY 2022–23, amply demonstrating the economic trajectory of this sector. Over the past ten years, exports as a share of the agricultural GDP were around 8% (average), elaborated the Report. Thus, India has demonstrated an amazing growth trajectory from a food-scarce to a food-sufficient, to a food-surplus country, mentioned the report. 

 

For the past three consecutive years, India’s share in world’s agriculture exports has consistently exceeded the 1% threshold. India's contribution to agricultural exports has exhibited remarkable stability over the course of the past decade.

 

The report recommended investing in research and development; precision agriculture techniques and digital farming solutions to significantly enhance productivity; active participation of the private sector across both pre-and post-harvest phases; private sector involvement for improved supply chains; enhanced access to credit to empower the Sector. By implementing these recommendations, India can position its agriculture sector for sustainable growth, resilience, and inclusive development, remarked the report.

अपनी  विरासत, अपने परिवार, समाज, मिट्टी की खुशबू में डूबा  भरत का मन सर्वदा उन्हीं विचारों की लहरों में शब्द -अर्थ की तरह  भिन्न रहते हुए भी अभिन्न है.. समाज, परिवार, गांव  सब भरत के प्राण तत्व हैं.. उनसे अलग रहना संभव नहीं है! "जिमि फणि बिनु मणि जल बिनु मीना "

राम वनगमन होता है.. सारी अयोध्या उनके साथ जाती है.. राम उनको लौटने को कहते हैं.. अयोध्या श्रीहीन हो जाएगी.. पिता जीवित हैं.. माताएं हैं...भावज हैं ...भरत ननिहाल में हैं.. ऐसी स्थिति मे अयोध्या श्रीहीन हो जाएगी.. उस समय अगर वशिष्ठ  को सत्ता की भूख रहती तो वे अवश्य राज सिंहासन पर अपना आधिपत्य जमाते... लेकिन ब्रह्मर्षि को इसका कोई औचित्य नहीं  समझ में आया.. 

.. भरत चित्रकूट गए हैं..सारी प्रजा , गुरु-गुरुपत्नी, माताएं सब भरत के साथ चित्रकूट गए हैं.. भरत, राम को राजगद्दी वापस देने के लिए बुलाने गए हैं.. राम ने रघुकुल की प्रतिज्ञा को सहर्ष स्वीकार किया है.. क्योंकि रघुकुल में वचन को यथेष्ट माना गया है "प्राण जाए पर वचन न जाई" अंततः भरत  खड़ाऊं को शिरोधार्य करते हैं और उसे सिंहासन पर  अधिष्ठित कर, राजाज्ञा  लेकर राज-काज चलाते हैं.. अयोध्या से दूर  साधना में लीन नंदिग्राम में तपस्यारत हैं.. 

.... आधुनिक युग का भरत, पटना में बी.एन.कालेज का  प्रोफेसर,  संघ लोक सेवा आयोग की परीक्षा दी थी.. आई. ए. एस में चयन हो गया.. नंदिग्राम अपनी विरासत.. अपने माता-पिता, भाई-बहनों, सगे - संबंधियों, गांव-समाज को अपनी सहृदयता से अभिसिंचित करते रहे.. सीधा सहज, सरल व्यक्तित्व से परिपूर्ण हैं भरत.. बी.एन कालेज  में कार्यरत थे..उसी दौरान  उनका परीक्षा फल आया.. दो नौकरियां -  एक प्रोफेसर और एक आई ए एस . आधुनिक भरत को प्रोफेसर होना ही रुचिकर लगा.. चूकि गांव नजदीक था.. माता.. पिता की सेवा उनका परम धर्म था... गांव के नजदीक रहने  से, अपनी माटी की खुशबू से मन सुवासित रहेगा..  आधुनिक भरत ने कहा - पैसा तो प्रोफेसर में भी है.. मैं पूर्णत: संतुष्ट हूं..  आई ए एस आफिसर में पद प्रतिष्ठा है.. 

प्रशासनिक अधिकारी का राॅब, मोटर - बंगला, नौकर - चाकर मुझे नहीं चाहिए..वैसी नौकरी का क्या जिसमें मेरे माता - पिता, मेरे भाई - बन्धु, मेरा समाज , मेरा परिवार मुझसे विलग हो जाय... मेरी आत्मा  हैं ये सब..! मेरी चेतना के द्वार के खुशबू हैं.. मुझे नहीं चाहिए पद प्रतिष्ठा...मैंने कहा  -  फिर आपने परीक्षा ही क्यों दिया? उन्होंने कहा -  मैं सरस्वती का साधक हूँ...विद्यार्जन मेरा धर्म है..  मैं अनभिज्ञ था.. मुझे क्या मालूम था कि मैं प्रशासनिक अधिकारी के रूप में चयनित हो जाऊंगा?? गांव का सहज, सरल, गंवार आदमी  का चयन कैसे हुआ.?? आश्चर्यचकित हूं मैं.. !! मेरे जन्मदाता मुझसे दूर हो जाएंगे?? ऐसी नौकरी मैं नहीं कर सकूँगा ...! लेकिन सबके समझाने और मेरे विशेष आग्रह पर उन्होंने उस पद की गरिमा  को गौरवान्वित किया.. 

.. ये आई ए एस आफिसर, मेरे छोटे "चाचाजी " रथीन्द्र कुमार ओझा हैं.. मेरे बाबूजी तीन भाई थे..  सबसे बड़े मेरे बाबूजी "रवीन्द्र नाथ  ओझा " उनसे छोटे "अरविंद कुमार ओझा" .. हमलोग का घर बक्सर जिला है.. जहां राम ने ताड़का को मारा था... मेरी दादी  "अहिरौली" की थी जहां अहिल्या को राम की चरण धूलि मिली थी... और अपूर्व सुन्दरी का रूप मिला.. गौतम ऋषि के शाप को अनुग्रह मानकर शिरोधार्य किया अहिल्या ने.. राम का दर्शन हुआ... पति लोक का वरदान राम से मांगा.. हमलोग एक छोटे से स्टेशन "डुमराँव" में उतरते हैं.. मेरे गांव का नाम "बड़का सिंघनपुरा" है.. डुमराँव से लगभग आठ किलोमीटर की दूरी पर मेरा गांव पड़ता है और बक्सर से लगभग पच्चीस किलोमीटर... " वन गांव के ओझा " से प्रसिद्ध है यह गांव.. ऐसा कहा जाता है दरभंगा जिला में "वनगांव" के पंडित बनारस आए.. उनकी दो लड़कियां थीं... उन लड़कियों की शादी हमारे गांव में हो गई... मिथिलांचल वाले अपने दामाद को "ओझा जी" कहते हैं.. उसी परंपरा के कारण  यह गांव"ओझा लोग"का प्रसिद्ध गांव बन गया .. ! प्रकृति की गोद में बसा गांव.... गंगा के किनारे की उपजाऊ जमीन... चना, सरसो, रहर, गेहूं, जौ, मकई की खेती.. अब तो धान भी पर्याप्त मात्रा में होता है.. कटहल, बड़हर, आम, महुआ का घना बगीचा.. बीजु आमों का बगीचा ..अब कलमी आम भी लग रहा है.. शीशम, सखुआ ,बांस की घनी बंसवारी.. मटर.. आलू .. गोभी...टमाटर.. बैंगन सहित प्याज की खेती.. बृहत मात्रा में होती है.... लेकिन गांव शहर से दूर है..  एक प्राथमिक स्कूल है... जिसमें मेरी पढ़ाई हुई है.. बाबूजी हाई स्कूल डुमरी से पढ़े हैं जो गांव से दूर है  फिर भी "सिंघनपुरा" में काफी पढ़े लिखे लोग हैं.. कर्मठ लोग हैं.. सरस्वती और लक्ष्मी का वरदान है यह गांव.....! इस गाँव के अधिकांश व्यक्ति बड़े -  बड़े अधिकारी हैं ...इस गांव में  दो -तीन मंजिला मकान  ढह रहा है.. गिर रहा है.. कोई देखने वाला नहीं है.... बड़े - बड़े आफिसर लोग बाहर चले गए और वहीं बस गए.. गांव पर किसी का ध्यान नहीं गया.. पढ़ने की सुविधा नहीं थी... बाहर निकलकर ऊंची पढ़ाई किया लोगों ने .... पेसा खूब कमाया  लेकिन गांव नहीं लौटे वे लोग... 

... मेरे परदादा डुमराँव राजा के तहसीदार थे..... पढ़ने का उन्हें बड़ा शौक था.... वेद - पुराणों का अध्ययन किया था उन्होंने... घर बनवाया था खूब लंबा - चौड़ा..! सोलह कोठरियां थीं.. !! बड़ा सा आंगन जिसमें लोग क्रिकेट खेल सकते थे.... ! बाहर लंबा - चौड़ा चारदिवारी... ऊंची -ऊंची दीवार.. ऊपर खपड़ा से छाया हुआ था.... गांव में सबसे संभ्रांत परिवार हमारा ही था.. उतना बड़ा मकान किसी का नहीं था...  बड़े मकान में औरतें रहती थीं .. मर्द लोग खाने के लिए आते थे.... एक दूसरा मकान था कुछ दूरी पर.. जिसे "खड़" कहते हैं... वहां गाय - बैल , हरवाह -चरवाह  रहते थे..... अध्ययन मनन होता था.. मेरे बाबा तीन भाई थे.... सभी पढ़े लिखे.. वेद.. रामायण, गीता के जानकार.. शिक्षित परिवार था..... औरतें नियमित रामायण पाठ करती थीं..... उनके नईहर से दहेज के साथ "रामायण" लाल मखमल के वस्त्र में लपेट कर आया था.....  नहा धोकर रामायण पढ़कर तब औरतें रसोई में जाती थीं.. 

शुद्ध शाकाहारी भोजन ! लहसुन प्याज भी वर्जित था...! आज भी  यज्ञ -परोजन में प्याज लहसुन नहीं पड़ता है.... बड़ी बड़ी पूड़ियाँ .. बड़े बड़े कड़ाहों में  बनते  थे.... बांस लगाकर चार आदमी कड़ाही को उठाते थे. .. पूड़िया इतनी मुलायम जैसै रुई हो....! बहुत बड़ी - बड़ी पूड़ियाँ...!आधी पूड़ी भी कोई नहीं खा सकता था....... अब तो वैसे कलाकार नहीं हैं......उस पूड़ी की नकल की जाती है.. लेकिन न वह स्वाद रहता है.. न वैसी मुलायमियत.....! ... 

मेरे बाबा स्टेशन मास्टर थे.... उस समय गोरखपुर में पोस्टेड थे....  वहीं पर मेरे चाचा जी का जन्म हुआ.... नाम रखाया "गोरखनाथ"...अपने भाई बहनों में सबसे छोटे.. शायद  गोरखबाबा का प्रभाव उनपर पड़ा. .. संत व्यक्ति, निःस्वार्थ भाव से सबकी सेवा करते हैं...  मुझसे पांच वर्ष छोटे हैं चाचा जी.. ! गजब की जीवटता, कर्मठता,उदारमना व्यक्तित्व है चाचा जी का !! "वसुधैव कुटुंबकम्"  की परम्परा को पुनर्स्थापित करने वाले... गांव - समाज - परिवार सबके प्रति उनके मन में निश्छल, निर्मल भाव है..... सबके प्रति सहानुभूति, सबकी मदद के लिए  खड़े रहते हैं..  गांव के लोग उन्हें भगवान मानते हैं...  मेरे बड़े चाचाजी मुझसे तीन वर्ष बड़े थे..... कुशाग्र बुद्धि थी... बी एच यू  से उन्होंने अपनी पढ़ाई पूरी की थी.. 

विज्ञान और गणित में वशिष्ठ नारायण के समकक्ष थे... गणित में बी एच यू में  टाॅप किए थे... कहा जाता है - "पुरुष बली नहीं होत है, समय होत बलवान" सब कुछ रहते हुए भी... अवसर आने पर बुद्धि  पकड़ में नहीं आती... वही हुआ बड़े चाचा जी "अरविंद कुमार ओझा " के साथ.. उनका मानसिक संतुलन बिगड़ गया ..कई   महीनों  इधर - उधर भटके.. बहुत जगह खोज हुई ..एक दिन  भटकते - भटकते अपने ससुराल पहुँच गए.. साधुओं जैसी वेष भूषा या भिखारियों जैसी  कहना मुश्किल है..! पर मेरी चाची जी ने उन्हें पहचान लिया...! मेरे छोटे चाचा जी को सूचना मिली.. उन्होंने अपने भाई को अपने पास रखा..." बी एड  " की  ट्रेनिंग करवाई...  .. गांव के पास ही " चौगाई"  हाई स्कूल में उनकी नौकरी लग गई.. कभी स्कूल जाते कभी नहीं जाते.. लेकिन जब भी जाते ईमानदारी से पढ़ाते.. गांव के लोग  मेरे चाचाजी के ऋणी थे.. सबके प्रति उनकी सहानुभूति थी... सबकी मदद करते थे... सब लोग चाचाजी की कृतज्ञता से कृतकृत्य थे... गांव में चाचाजी का आदर सम्मान था... रथीन्द्र कुमार ओझा की सहृदयता, आत्मीयता, सद्विचार, सहिष्णुता से  गांव के लोग  चाचाजी के प्रशंसक थे... मेरे छोटे चाचाजी की व्यवहार कुशलता, प्रवीणता, दूरदर्शिता के कारण  बड़े चाचाजी ने पूरी नौकरी की....  बड़े चाचाजी की पत्नी को कैंसर  था... वे दिवंगत हो गई.. उनकी एक लड़की और एक लड़का था...छोटे चाचाजी रथीन्द्र  कुमार ओझा जी और छोटी चाचीजी  ने लड़की का कन्यादान दिया..  एक लड़का था  वह भी एक्सीडेंट में दिवंगत हो गया..... सब कुछ रहते हुए भी परिवार अस्त व्यस्त हो गया... परिवार को अपनी व्यवहार कुशलता, सहिष्णुता से अभिसिंचित किया "रथीन्द्र कुमार ओझा " ने ..! कितने प्रेम और सौहार्द से विषम परिस्थिति को सम बनाया  चाचाजी ने...!! दिल्ली में लोधी कालोनी में रहकर.. गांव आते रहते थे.. अपने परिवार समाज  को अपनत्व प्रदान करते रहे.... मिट्टी की खुशबू  से महमहाते रहे... परिवार के मेरुदंड हैं  "रथीन्द्र कुमार ओझा जी"! 

... गांव के अपनत्व में पगा है  चाचाजी का व्यक्तित्व... बोली मिसरी की डली है... बच्चे बूढ़े सबमें अपनी मिठास घोलते रहते हैं.. चाचाजी का व्यक्तित्व विराट है.. उनकी विराटता की छांव में हमलोग  कितनी शीतलता का अनुभव करते हैं... सुख की अनुभूति होती है.. जो शब्दों में व्यक्त करना  मुश्किल है.! 

... चाचाजी से मिलना मेरी बहुत बड़ी उपलब्धि है... मैं भाग्यवान हूं... ऐसे विराट व्यक्तित्व की छांव में रहती हूं.... 

..... परिजन, पुरजन सब चाचाजी से उपकृत हैं... मेरे बड़े चाचाजी भी व्यवहार कुशल थे... सबके दुख सुख में उपस्थित रहते थे.. दिमाग असंतुलित रहते हुए भी स्वस्थ थे.. चार बजे भोर में उठते थे.. बीस किलोमीटर पैदल चल लेते थे...  गंगा नहाने जाते थे... प्रभात भ्रमण के क्रम में अखबार लेते थे.. नियमित अखबार पढ़ते थे... चाय की दूकान खोलवाकर चाय पीते थे..! 

.... आधुनिक भरत राजधानी में रहकर भी नंदिग्राम में अपनी कुटिया में रहने का लोभ संवरण नहीं कर पाते.... माटी की महक में कौन सा जादू है.. वे अपने गांव  की मिट्टी का तिलक लगाना कभी नहीं भूलते हैं... पच्चीस वर्षों के बाद  मुझे भी अपनी  जन्मभूमि की माटी  का तिलक लगाने का सौभाग्य  मिला...अचानक बड़े चाचाजी अरविंद कुमार ओझा जी का एक्सीडेन्ट हो गया. . डुमराँव  से बनारस ले जाते समय चन्दौली में ही उनकी सांसों ने उनका साथ छोड़ दिया ... उनके नाती ने मुखाग्नि दिया..... मेरे छोटे चाचाजी रथीन्द्र कुमार जी सुबह पहुंचे..... उन्होंने बाकी काम का दायित्व स्वयं पूर्ण किया..  एकादश, द्वादस सबका काम विधिवत किया... कड़ाके की ठंढ में.... पोखरे के किनारे.. बरगद के पेड़ के नीचे विधिवत महापात्रों की सेवा की  ... फिर द्वादशा के दिन आंगन में विधिवत पूजा -  दान किया... पूजा के उपरांत  हमलोग से बात करते. . कहते -  तुम गांव आ गई हो... तुम दुर्लभ हो मेरे लिए....! बात  करते -करते थकते नहीं..... उनके कमर से बैठा नहीं जा रहा था.. फिर भी आधुनिक भरत निश्छल, निर्विकार, निस्वार्थ भाव से प्रेम लुटाते रहे...!! 

...... "जन्मभूमि मम पुरी सुहावनी" राम अयोध्या चौदह वर्ष के बाद लौटे हैं.... माताएं , परिजन, पुरजन कितने खुश हैं..... मेरा गांव में जाना चर्चा का विषय था..... सब लोग कहते थे "बड़का मालिक के बेटी" ..  बाबूजी को भी अपनी मिट्टी से लगाव था वे भी गांव जाते थे...लेकिन गांव के प्रति जो अपनत्व और सेवा की भावना छोटे चाचाजी रथीन्द्र कुमार ओझा में है.. वह अन्यत्र दुर्लभ है.. कितने श्रद्धालु, शुभेच्छु   हैं चाचा जी.. कहीं दुर्भावना की गंध नहीं है उनके व्यक्तित्व में...... धरती से मोह है... बुजुर्गों की धरोहर है... अतीत को संजोना उनकी प्रवृति है... अतीत के फंदों से वर्तमान को बुनते हैं.. भविष्य का मार्गदर्शन करते हैं.... ! 

गांव में मेरा जन्म हुआ है उसी पुराने घर में.... जिसकी चारदीवारी अपने मोटे बाहुओं से, राग-अनुराग से मुझे गोद में भरने के लिए बाहें फैलाई है  ..मैंने चूमा..तिलक लगाया. उस दरवाजे की गोद में अपने को गौरवान्वित महसूस किया..... मिट्टी को माथे से लगाकर आंसुओं से प्रक्षालन किया धरती को.. जिसने अपनी गोद में मुझे शरण दिया.. " हे मां मेरा वंदन स्वीकारो ! पता नहीं फिर तुमसे कब भेंट होगी ?? "

.. मेरा प्राथमिक पाठशाला  जिसने मुझे अक्षरों से दोस्ती करना सिखाया.. वह अब   जर्जर हो चुका है .. !  फिर भी अपने टूटी -  फूटी काया से मुझे निहार रहा था.. बोल रहा था -  मेरी शताब्दी मनाई जाएगी ..तुम जरुर आना ! मैंने छलकते आंखों से अपने गुरु आश्रम को प्रणाम निवेदित किया...!! 

.. एक तरफ दबा सहमा मेरे पाठशाला का  मैला - कुचैला, जीर्ण,- शीर्ण देह ..! शायद कभी उसपर  चूना भी नहीं पड़ा है.. और दूसरी तरफ गुलाबी आवरण में खड़ा नया पाठशाला..! जिसके माथे पर लिखा है - " प्राथमिक विद्यालय, जिला -  बक्सर"

........ सुबह फरक्का से आना था  ... पांच बजे भोर में बोलेरो से निकले डुमराँव स्टेशन की ओर.. रास्ते में झुंड की झुंड औरतें..  जैसे किसी मेले में सम्मिलित होने जा रही हों..हंसती बोलती..घर की झंझटों को बतियाती..शायद उनके लिए एकान्त जगह  होता होगा....कचरा निकालने का..मन का कचरा और तन का कचरा  दोनों का समाधान...सुबह की  ताजी हवाओं  के झोके..उनके गाल, शरीर को कितने प्यार से छूते हैं...साड़ियों को हवा में उड़ाते.. कितना शांत  जगह है...?? गृहस्थी के  झंझटों का कितना सुन्दर समाधान... ?? स्वच्छता अभियान की सहयात्री.......!!.  गांव में प्रवेश करते समय बड़ा बोर्ड लगा था... "स्वच्छता अभियान" इतने सारे आंकड़े कागज में ही दब जाते हैं...... कर्मस्थल पर पहुंच नहीं पाते हैं.. पता नहीं यह अभियान कब तक अपने विकास की ओर अग्रसर होगा..?? 

...... गांव के ढहते ढिमलाते  दो मंजिले, तीन मंजिले मकानों को देखकर मन में ग्लानि होती है...... लाख कमाए लोग फिर भी अपनी मिट्टी की महक से दूर रहना कितना  खराब लगता है.. ?? कभी कितने प्रयत्न से बाप दादा ने बनवाए होंगे...... बड़े -बड़े मकान जो उपेक्षित का दंस भोग रहे हैं..! लोगों के पास पैसे की  कमी नहीं है., कोई स्कूल ही खोलवा देते.. कोई अस्पताल ही बनवा देते.... गांव, शहर से दूर है तो  गांव में ही पढ़ने की सुविधा हो जाती.. स्कूल -कालेज खुल जाते.... रोजगार के अवसर होते तो लोग अपने गांव में रहते... इस तरह खंडहर नुमा गांव नहीं होता... कभी लगता है.... गांव में इतने पढ़े -लिखे लोग हैं..! सभी ऊंचे पद और पैसे वाले हैं  फिर भी अपना गांव अपनी  बदहाली पर आंसू बहा रहा है ...इसे अभिशाप कहा जाय या वरदान...! मुझे समझ में नहीं आया... प्रवासी भारतीय को भी अपनी मातृभूमि पर ममतामयी दृष्टि है है.. जड़ें अपनी मातृभूमि में लिपटी हुई हैं.. तने, पत्ते शाखाएं बढ़ते हैं, निवेश तो अपने ही देश में होता है..!! कहीं भी बसे, रहें लोग अपनी परम्परा अपनी संस्कृति की समृद्धि , अपनी पहचान को नहीं भूलें। 

इन खंडहरनुमा ईमारतों को  भी अपनी पहचान दें... किसी को  उस सम्पत्ति  का उतराधिकारी बना दें.. आपकी पहचान आपका स्वाभिमान लहलहाता रहेगा..  दूसरे भी खुशहाल रहेंगे.. स्कूल, अस्पताल बनवाकर गांव की समग्रता पर ध्यान आकृष्ट करें.. विकास तभी होगा जब विश्वास की नींव हो.. आपके प्रयास में एकान्विती हो... गांव का  विकास आपका लक्ष्य हो..!! 

... कृष्ण द्वारिकाधीश बन गए हैं.. उन्हें ब्रज की गलियां.. ब्रज की धूल..  से कितना प्रेम है.. कितनी आत्मीयता है..?? जहां रास रचाए.. गोवर्धन धारण किया.. कालिया नाग को नाथा , जन्भूमि तो मथुरा थी.. लेकिन कर्मभूमि ब्रज सर्वदा कृष्ण के पलकों के भीतर सुरक्षित रहती है  "उधो! मोहि ब्रज बिसरत नाहीं "

..... मेरे गांव का घर  सुव्यवस्थित है..उसके केन्द्र में मेरे चाचा जी "रथीन्द्र कुमार ओझा " हैं...एक साधक, तपस्वी की तरह नंदिग्राम  में रहकर  अपनी विरासत.. अपनी सभ्यता, अपनी संस्कृति को संजोए हुए हैं.. ! "भायपभक्ति" के उत्कृष्टता को अपने हृदय में स्थापित कर....... "अर्थ न धर्म न काम रुचि गति न चहौं निर्वाण जनम जनम  जन्मभूमि पद यह वरदान न आन" 

....... आधुनिक भरत  लकुटी की नाई की तरह बड़े भाई की चरण पर गिर पड़ते थे..... कितना विराट हृदय है रथीन्द्र कुमार ओझा जी का........ सुर सरिता की तरह पुनीत...... दरसन-परसन में अलौकिक अनुभूति... निश्छलता की प्रवाहमयता..करुणा,दया, सेवा की प्रतिमूर्ति...अतीत के संवाहक वर्तमान के रक्षक...भविष्य के निर्णायक ......!!   हमारी भारतीय संस्कृति में  स्त्री के बिना कोई यज्ञ पूरा नहीं होता है...  सीता के बिना राम शिवलिंग की स्थापना कैसे कर सकते थे..  जंगल में विद्वान आचार्य रावण के सिवा कौन हो सकता है..?? आचार्य  ने अपने यजमान के लिए सारे पूजन की सामग्री जुटाई... और राम के बाम भाग में सीता के बिना यज्ञ कैसे पूर्ण हो सकता है..?? आचार्य ने सीता और राम के पूर्णत्व से यज्ञ संपन्न किया... रथीन्द्र कुमार ओझा जी मेरे छोटे चाचाजी और श्रीमती माधुरी ओझा के सहयोग से ही.... हमलोग की विरासत  आज भी   सुरक्षित, संरक्षित, संवर्धित है... इसे संजोया है.. संवारा है.. निखारा है.. संगठित किया है.... एक भरत ने.... तपस्वी साधक अपनी माटी की खुशबू से सबको सादर आमंत्रित करते हैं " गांव आजा मेरे बच्चों..!!   हमने बहुत संघर्ष करके इस धरोहर को संजोया है... तुम इसे संभालकर रखना..... यह गंगा की उपजाऊ मिट्टी... हरे - भरे मटर, चना, गेहूं, जौ.. सरसो के पीले-पीले फूल, मटर के उजले फूल, तीसी के बैगनी फूल...ये  इन्द्रधनुषी रंग... गेहूं ,जौ, धान के स्वर्णमयी बालियां अपनी संगीतमयता, प्रेममय उल्लास, आनंद में झनझना कर मधुर मृदुल ध्वनि से तुम्हें बार -बार बुलाती हैं... हृदय के मंदिर में बालियों की मदिर मधुर ध्वनि का अनुभव करो...!!

 Two Students of NMIMS Shirpur Shine at the SmartIdeathon Competition

Two talented students from NMIMS University, Ms. Amruta Mali and Ms. Poonam Patil, pursuing their Final Year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture at the School of Agricultural Sciences & Technology, Shirpur, have emerged as shining stars at the SmartIdeathon Competition, held at GITAM University Hyderabad. This prestigious event was organized in collaboration with Startup India, IIC, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, and Northeastern University, Boston, USA, drawing participants from universities and institutes across the country.

Amruta and Poonam, the founders of Agro-India, an initiative under SVKM’s NMIMS – School of Agricultural Sciences & Technology, Shirpur, showcased their praiseworthy innovation during the competition. They presented a board game which has evolved into a comprehensive simulation of the agricultural ecosystem. This game captures the intricacies of crop management, resource allocation, and market dynamics in an appealing and educational manner.

The SmartIdeathon Competition, a ‘Student pitching competition,’ saw the duo advance to the final rounds, securing a coveted position among the Top 8 Finalists from participants across the nation.

The competition drew participants from diverse fields of study and was a vindication of the  power of ideas and their potential to bring about big change in the industries. The students’ passion for agriculture and strategic thinking resulted in a concept that combined these two elements into an agriculture-based board game. The process involved refining the game mechanics, designing the board, and devising challenges that tested their innovation and creativity.

For the two students, reaching the top 8 is not only a personal victory, but also a validation of the numerous hours they spent brainstorming, designing, and refining the game. It speaks volumes about their capability for interdisciplinary thinking and the ability to bridge gaps between traditional industries and modern innovation.

Dr. Suseelendra Desai, Dean, School of Agricultural Sciences & Technology, expressed his pride for the students’ achievement and said, "Amruta and Poonam's outstanding achievement at the SmartIdeathon Competition highlights NMIMS University's firm belief in promoting innovation and nurturing their creativity. I am certain that this is only the beginning of their journey and they will go on to win many more accolades."

School of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SAST), Shirpur is the first School of Agriculture under SVKM’s NMIMS to be started in 2019 to bring in prosperity to the small and marginal farm holders.

UNDP India Partners with NABARD to Boost Data-driven Innovations in Agriculture

         UNDP India Partners with NABARD to Boost 

           Data-driven Innovations in Agriculture  

  

[The partnership will support smallholder farmers to adopt climate-resilient agriculture practices by sharing open-source data for product creation and technology transfer.]

 The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 12th September 2023 in New Delhi to co-create data-driven innovations in agriculture and food systems to support smallholder farmers. Under this MoU, both organizations will work to improve the lives and livelihoods of smallholder farmers by sharing open-source data for product development, transfer of technology and supporting the framing of agrarian policies.    

  

The MoU was signed by Chief General Manager of NABARD, Mr. Sanjeev Rohilla, and UNDP Deputy Resident Representative, Ms. Isabelle Tschan. Under the MoU, UNDP will leverage its expertise in open innovations, data collaboratives, data science approaches and global know-how for supporting NABARD’s agenda of embedding data-driven decision-making in agriculture investments.   

  

The partnership includes enhancing and disseminating collaborative digital public goods like DiCRA (Data in Climate Resilient Agriculture). DiCRA is a collaborative digital public good which provides open access to key geospatial datasets pertinent to climate resilient agriculture. DiCRA, which is curated by UNDP and partner organizations to inform public investments in agriculture, already provides intelligence on climate resilience for 50 million hectares of farmland across India. By partnering for enhancing and scaling its use, NABARD will host and maintain the DiCRA platform and use its key geospatial datasets for policy making, research and development activities, with UNDP's technical support.    

  

This five-year technical cooperation is envisaged to foster collective climate action, create innovative platforms and new product offerings to enhance economic empowerment in rural India. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Shaji KV, Chairman of NABARD, said, “NABARD is extremely excited about this collaboration with UNDP. This opens a sea of opportunities for the two organizations to leverage data and present it as a digital public infrastructure for the vast rural Indian community of farmers. We are looking forward to deeper ties with UNDP as we progress, and this MoU is a step towards in this direction.”

Reaffirming UNDP’s commitment, Ms. Isabelle Tschan, Deputy Resident Representative said, “Agriculture is the largest source of livelihoods in India employing 80% of rural women who are more vulnerable to climate change. DiCRA uses cutting edge data science and machine learning to identify farms that are resilient to climate change and those that are highly vulnerable. Such open data innovations can highlight best practices, optimize agriculture investments and shelter populations from risk. The collaboration with NABARD will strengthen our support to build sustainable agricultural practices and secure livelihoods reducing the vulnerability of small farm holders, especially women." 

The partnership will also help analyze agricultural trends over time to inform decisions about investments in various areas like watershed management, micro-irrigation, warehouse optimization, and climate-related initiatives, enhancing UNDP and NABARD's data resources.

NABARD Emphasizes on Agri-fintech Innovations for Taking Rural and Agri-economy Forward  

 The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) took centre stage at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF), held from September 5th to September 7th, 2023 in Mumbai. NABARD highlighted its ground-breaking work to integrate digital financial services with rural and agri-economy. During the event, NABARD participated in a series of panel discussions addressing important topics. These included the far-reaching impact of digital identity and Know Your Customer (KYC) solutions on regulation, as well as engaging with Fintechs and Agri-techs. NABARD shared its extensive experience working alongside these sectors and unveiled a spectrum of initiatives aimed at propelling the agricultural and rural economy to new heights through comprehensive digital financial services. 

"The transformation of agriculture and rural finance is of paramount importance. Through value chain financing, we aim to bridge the digital divide and bring financial services to the doorsteps of the rural population. Through technology, we can contribute significantly to the economic growth and prosperity of India's rural communities." said Shri Manikumar S., Chief General Manager (SPPID) at NABARD.

Such collaborative innovations promise to inject new value into the existing agricultural value chain, laying the foundation for a more sustainable, efficient, and technologically advanced agricultural ecosystem. With these initiatives, NABARD reiterated its commitment to empowering the rural economy and driving financial inclusion through value chain financing in agriculture, developing innovative solutions to provide digital financial services in remote and inaccessible regions. 

“I’d like to thank NABARD for their financial assistance in forming my company. NABKISAN has provided us with a CC loan to form our FPO. The ease of availing finance for FPOs and farmers like me has had a significant impact on the agricultural value chain,” a farmer from the Jalgaon district of Maharashtra, acknowledging NABARD's contribution during a panel session on the concluding day of Global Fintech Fest 2023. 

The Global Fintech Fest provided an excellent platform for NABARD to showcase its pioneering efforts in leveraging technology to revolutionize financial services in rural India. By participating in the event, NABARD reaffirmed its commitment to advancing financial inclusion and empowering rural communities across the country.

FarMart, India's fastest-growing intelligent food supply network, announced its recent launch onto ONDC - The Open Network for Digital Commerce, making it the first Food and Agri Tech company to do so. FarMart is utilizing the ONDC network to serve food manufacturing businesses in India with easy access to quality ingredients.
