Video uploaded by Dr Ajay Kumar Ojha

Shillong-Dawki road of Meghalaya - a state of North East India. On this road  there is a trisection at  Pongtung. From this place Dawki is around 20 Km. From this place, one road leads to Mawlynnong  village - Asia's Cleanest Village which is around 18 Km. Just 2 Km before this village is Riwai village famous for River Valley Eco Park and also famous for  natural "Living Root Bridge" which is  around 10 mts walk away nestled in   amazingly  beautiful background. This video clip "From the Eyes of Dr Ajay Kumar Ojha"  captures this captivating "Living Root Bridge " from almost every angle. Living Root Bridges are a form of tree shaping and common in the southern part of  Meghalaya. They are handmade from the aerial roots of natural living banyan fig trees. The Khasi people and War Jaintia peoples of the mountainous  terrain along the Southern part of the Shillong Plateau are expert in making such bridges. There are even "Double Decker" or even "Triple Decker" bridges also. These people make several other kinds of structures out  of the aerial roots of rubber trees also such as "Living Root Bleachers".
