World Sparrow Day is celebrated every year on 20th March to raise awareness of the house sparrow and other common birds to urban environments. This is also to convey the message of conservation of the house sparrow and other common birds, and also to appreciate the beauty of common diversity. House sparrow is becoming endangered and extinct not only in urban areas but also in rural areas. So watching sparrows in such huge number chirping on a tree in the campus of Doordrshan Srinagar is really heartening and encouraging. This rare video captures the rare moments of not-to-be-seen house sparrows chirping in huge number on a tree.
