SuperMoon of Kartik Purnima 14th November 2016 is very very special. It is much bigger and brighter too.

This spectacular event was earlier seen way back in 1948. The Moon of  Kartik Purnima 2016 is 14% bigger in size and 30% brighter than the ordinary purnima Moon.

A full Moon occurs on the same day when the Moon is closest to the earth in its orbit, called perigee.

The SuperMoon of November 2016 is slightly larger than other SuperMoons. The last time the Moon was this close around the time of full Moon was in 1948 and the next time will be in 2034.

So this SuperMoon is not only unique but historical too  & so are the images taken.

On 15th November 2016 SuperMoon changed into 12 different colours from 10.24pm to 11.44pm. Next time it will appear so after 184 years.

I became witness to this historical and once- in- life -time rare celestial wonderful opportunity and captured some images from my mobile during 10.24pm -11.44pm.
