Assam State Zoo Cum Botanical Garden India

This zoo cum botanical garden is the largest of its kind in the North East India.
It is located within the Hengrabari Reserved Forest at Guwahati India.
The Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden is home to around 895 animals, birds and reptiles. They represent almost 113 species of animals and birds from around the world.

This Zoo was opened in 1958.

Later Assam State Zoo also opened a museum and in 1982 a botanical garden . And so Assam State Zoo came to be known as The Assam State Zoo Cum Botanical Garden.
