Indo-China Border " Bum La Pass" Tawang Arunachal Pradesh India





Arunachal Pradesh is the least explored place in the country despite housing ancient marvels as well as natural wonders in a peaceful, serene surroundings -  leaving even Kashmir behind. There is a lot to explore here - from snow-capped mountains to incredible hills and beautiful monasteries to rich culture.

Bum La Pass is one of the first places in Northeast India where snowfall hits every year. It is a mountain pass located at an elevation of more than 15,000 ft.

Bum La Pass is the same place where one of the important battles of Indo-Chinese war took place in 1962. In ancient period, an old trade route passed through Bum La. Dalai Lama escaped through this region only and took refuge in India.

Bum La Pass is one of the least-explored passes in India. It is perfect destination for a pristine, unpolluted and peaceful atmosphere.

Bum La Pass is home to several natural spots including a number of lakes specially Shungatser Tso lake now popularly known as Madhuri lake since a song featuring Madhuri Dixit from the film Koyla was shot at this lake.

Bum La Pass is one of the highest mountain passes in Northeast India. Region around Bum La Pass is no less than heaven. The presence of snow-clad mountains, crystal clear blue sky, beautiful hills, dotted with a number of lakes at around 15,000 ft, small human settlements make the region amazingly camera-ready camera-friendly destination.





And above all, one of the Indo-Chinese Borders is located at Bum La Pass.
